| A Colts Christmas! |
I'll keep today's update short and to the point- Thanks! Without all of your strong support, spending the holidays away from home would be unimaginable. Rather than updating the blog over the past few days, I've been assembling a sort of "Year in Review" Christmas letter.

For those of you who don't really know me all that well, I think this letter should give you a little better glimpse into my life. As you'll see, I've been blessed with the best family and friends a man could ask for.
Merry Christmas from FOB Salerno, Afghanistan! Pictures to follow from the dining hall as it is decorated quite festive once again...

Merry Christmas, Bart. Dumb question, but is there anywhere over there you can jump in an airplane get some flight time?

ReplyDeletePaul- there are no dumb questions on here, happy to see some reader involvement! Unfortunately the only fixed wing aircraft around here are C-130's that come in for a combat landing on our gravel strip, offload incoming pax and cargo, load outgoing pax and cargo, and take back off for Bagram all within about a 15 minute timeframe without shutting down the engines. It's way too dangerous for a fixed-wing assets to be sitting around the FOB here. They call it "Rocket City" for a reason ;-)
